Job Description
Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Studies.
Minimum 5 years' experience in warehouse or distribution management.
Proven ability in supervising teams and managing inventory operations.
Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG is an added advantage.
Proficient in SQL systems, Microsoft Excel, and data analysis.
Knowledge of FIFO/FEFO, HALAL, GMP, and HACCP is preferred.
Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Able to speak English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Must have own transport and ability to start immediately or on short notice.
Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management
Monitor and manage stock levels of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods.
Ensure inventory accuracy using SQL systems.
Lead periodic stock counts and cycle counts; investigate discrepancies.
2. Material Receiving & Inspection
Oversee receiving of raw materials, packaging, and components.
Coordinate inspection with QA/QC teams; ensure compliance with specs.
Update systems and generate Goods Receipt Notes (GRN).
3. Material Issuance & Dispatch
Ensure timely issuance of materials to production based on job orders.
Implement FIFO/FEFO practices.
Supervise packing, documentation, and dispatch of finished goods.
4. Store Operations & Organisation
Ensure daily operations follow company standards.
Maintain effective racking, labelling, and space utilisation.
Enforce safe handling of materials and equipment.
5. Team Management
Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff including storekeepers and forklift operators.
Monitor KPIs and performance evaluations.
Collaborate closely with production, fulfillment, and logistics teams.
6. Compliance & Documentation
Maintain accurate records for audits, Halal standards and food safety certifications.
Ensure compliance with safety and warehouse regulations.
Manage SQL documentation where applicable.
7. Monthly Store Checks & Reporting
Conduct monthly inventory checks; identify and report issues.
Ensure physical condition, cleanliness, and safety are maintained.
Submit reports and assist with audits.
8. Process Improvement
Identify areas for warehouse process optimisation.
Support lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Additional Responsibilities:
Oversee warehousing and distribution to ensure on-time delivery.
Develop SOPs and ensure housekeeping & legal compliance.
Coordinate with transporters and customer service teams.
Monitor equipment, facility upkeep, and local licensing.
Ensure billing compliance with company and all procedures.
