-Main Key skills: We'd like to highlight the key requirements we are focusing on:
-Finance Shared Services Centre (SSC) experience - preferably in a MNC setup.
-Strong General Ledger (GL) knowledge - this will be the main priority.
-Working knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
-Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) would be an advantage. Purpose of the Position
Experience & Qualifications
-Possesses foundational knowledge of freight forwarding and logistics, with an understanding of key industry drivers and operational dynamics.
-Language required: English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin.
-Demonstrates a strong grasp of shared service centre (SSC) models and end-to-end finance processes, enabling effective service delivery and optimization.
-Brings a high level of financial control orientation, with a proactive mindset to challenge existing norms and continuously enhance corporate standards and governance frameworks.
-Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
-Minimum 12-15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a shared service or multinational environment.
-Strong knowledge of IFRS/local GAAP, tax regulations, and financial systems (e.g., SAP, CW1).
-Proven track record in process improvement, change management, and cross-functional collaboration.
-Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
-Process Optimization: Experience in streamlining AP, AR, and GL functions.
-Automation & Systems: Proficiency in ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, CW1) and leveraging RPA or AI tools for efficiency.
-Service Delivery Excellence: Strong focus on SLAs, KPIs, and customer satisfaction within a shared services model.
-Team Development: Ability to build, mentor, and retain high-performing finance teams.
-Change Leadership: Skilled in managing transitions, such as SSC migrations or finance transformations.
-Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
-Fluent in English (written and spoken)
-Fluent local language is added advantage
-Proficiency in ERP systems like SAP or Microsoft Dynamics for managing financial transactions and reporting.
-Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and data modeling.
-Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik for data visualization and analytics
Responsibilities
Detailed Responsibilities:
-Accountable for the overall financial and operational performance of the Regional Shared Service Centre, ensuring alignment with business goals and service excellence.
-Partners with the Vice President of Asia Pacific, Cluster and Country CFOs, and Regional Finance teams to shape and execute business service strategies and operating models that support long-term growth.
-Engages stakeholders to identify opportunities for service innovation and continuous improvement, leading the development and execution of service roadmaps.
-Ensures all SSC operations reflect the company's mission, values, and ethical standards, maintaining full compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
-Strengthens the SSC's external reputation, positioning IT as an employer of choice and a strategic asset within the industry.
-Leads risk management efforts within the SSC, collaborating with global process owners to proactively identify and mitigate operational and compliance risks.
-Drives global alignment by working closely with SSC leadership across regions to harmonize processes, share best practices, and support enterprise-wide initiatives.

-Leads and empowers direct reports, fostering high-quality decision-making, service excellence, and cross-border collaboration with global management teams.
-Cultivates a motivating and supportive work environment, aligning teams around business priorities and shared goals.
-Promotes open dialogue and inclusive collaboration, ensuring diverse perspectives and best practices shape innovative business solutions that meet stakeholder expectations.
-Drives a disciplined culture of performance, regularly evaluating operational outcomes and reporting SSC performance to the key stakeholders.
-Champions strategic initiatives, sponsoring organizational projects and ensuring timely, effective implementation.
Stakeholder Management:
-Delivers consistent, high-quality services that exceed business partner expectations and reinforce the SSC's value proposition.
-Leads proactive communication and change management efforts across the SSC and with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
-Defines and monitors performance metrics to drive operational excellence and ensure the SSC operates at peak efficiency.
-Builds and sustains collaborative relationships across countries, affiliates, and Finance functions-fostering trust, accountability, and shared success.
-Serves as the primary escalation point for client concerns, resolving issues effectively before senior leadership intervention is required.
People Management:
-Leads the development and execution of a comprehensive people strategy, including organizational design, talent development, and a culture of engagement aligned with SSC objectives.
-Oversees staffing and workforce planning, actively participating in recruitment, onboarding, training, and career development to build a high-performing, future-ready team.
-Sets clear goals and performance expectations at the leadership level, fostering accountability and driving results across the SSC.
-Implements robust succession planning frameworks to ensure leadership continuity and capability growth within the SSC.
-Cultivates a positive and inclusive work environment that enhances employee engagement, retention, and performance.
