Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:



Responsible to assist the production manager for establishment of planning, organizing, leading and controlling of all activities within the production functions.

Supervise overall production processes to ensure the KPI, capacity, quality & cost of manufacturing and objectives are being achieved.

Study and monitor in order to streamline manufacturing processes to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost effective.

Plan and supervise production operations and ensure production schedule are met.

Effective manpower planning to achieve labour efficiency and productivity.

Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting in maintaining continuous operations.

Monitor daily reporting, update and prepare production reports.

Responsible for work in progress QC checking to ensure quality of final products is met. Work closely with QA to ensure product quality requirements are compliant and improve process control during manufacturing.

Carry out 5S activities on production floor and ensure condition is in compliance to requirements set out by management.

Train/evaluate new operators and provide upgrading training/on job training to existing operators to assure competency of specialized personnel are fully capable for the jobs.

Ensure operators comply with company’s rules and regulations as well as policy and safety requirements.

Motivate and encourage subordinates to achieve maximum productivity.

Perform any ad-hoc action assigned by the Management.





REQUIREMENTS:



1. Education & Professional Qualification:

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or equivalent qualification.

Possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in production department, preferably in food industry and manufacturing.



2. Training Needs:

Trained on the requirements of the HACCP, GMP, and other food safety system, ISO 9001 Standard, if preferred;

Trained on the programs (if any) identified in the On-Job Training Program & Records.



3. Necessary Experience:

Able to work independently and with minimum supervision and guidance.

Positive attitude and able to work in a fast pace working environment.



4. Essential Skills:

Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia and computer literate.

Able to perform shift work.
