Job Description
Purpose of the Job:
The Learning and Development Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective learning solutions that support organizational goals and employee performance. This role ensures that all training content—whether digital, classroom-based, or blended—is instructionally sound, learner-centered, and aligned with business objectives. The Instructional Designer partners with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to analyze learning needs, create innovative instructional materials, and evaluate learning effectiveness to drive continuous improvement and capability development across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Instructional Design & Development
Design and develop engaging, learner-centered instructional materials for various delivery modes
Apply adult learning principles, instructional design models and learning technologies to create effective learning experiences.
Develop learning assets such as facilitator guides, learner workbooks, assessments, and multimedia content.
2.Content Management & Quality Assurance
Ensure all learning content aligns with organizational goals, branding, and quality standards.
Review and update existing training materials to maintain relevance and accuracy.
Conduct pilot tests and implement feedback for continuous improvement
3.Evaluation & Reporting
Measure training effectiveness using evaluation frameworks
Analyze learner feedback and performance data to improve instructional design strategies.
Provide regular progress and impact reports to stakeholders.
4.Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Work closely with Training, and departmental teams to align learning interventions with business strategy.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and promote a culture of continuous learning.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Diploma in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, Communication, Psychology, or a related field.
Professional certification in Instructional Design, eLearning Development, or Training (e.g., ATD, CIPD, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in instructional design, learning development, or corporate training.
Proven experience designing and developing e-learning, blended, and instructor-led training programs.
Experience collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) and cross-functional teams to deliver learning solutions aligned with business goals.
Digital Module Developer & Engagement Specialist
Purpose of the Job:
Learning and Development Digital Module Developer & Engagement Specialist role is to design, develop, and deliver engaging digital learning experiences that enhance employee skills, performance, and engagement across the organization. This role combines instructional design, digital content creation, and learner engagement strategies to ensure training programs are interactive, accessible, and aligned with organizational goals. The specialist also drives learner participation through creative communication campaigns, digital platforms, and continuous improvement initiatives to promote a culture of learning and development.
Key Responsibilities
1.Digital Learning Design & Development
Design, develop, and implement digital learning modules using e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or Canva).
Convert classroom-based training content into engaging and interactive online learning experiences.
Ensure digital modules are user-friendly, visually appealing, and aligned with adult learning principles.
2.Content Management & Delivery
Manage and maintain learning content on the Learning Management System (LMS) or other digital learning platforms.
Monitor learner progress and generate reports to measure training effectiveness and completion rates.
Continuously update and improve modules based on feedback and emerging trends.
3.Learner Engagement & Communication
Develop and implement learner engagement campaigns to promote participation in training programs.
Create digital communication materials such as newsletters, teasers, infographics, and videos to sustain learning interest.
4.Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and ensure accuracy and relevance.
Collaborate with Retail HR, IT, and department heads to align learning initiatives with organizational goals.
Provide guidance and support to trainers and facilitators on digital learning tools and engagement strategies.
5.Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
Assess training impact through data analysis, feedback, and post-training evaluations.
Recommend improvements to content, delivery methods, and learner engagement approaches.
Stay updated on digital learning technologies and trends to drive innovation in L&D practices.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Professional certification in Learning and Development, Instructional Design, or e-Learning (e.g., CPTD, ATD, or similar) is an added advantage.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Learning and Development, with a focus on digital learning design and content development.
Proven experience using e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, or other multimedia tools.
Experience managing and administering Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Demonstrated ability to create interactive, visually engaging, and learner-centered digital content.
