Responsibilities

Develop and review plans, drawings, and specifications for electrical works.

Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.

Plan and schedule electrical activities to meet project milestones.

Liaise with authorities for submission and approval processes.

Oversee installation of electrical systems (including ELV and wiring) and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specs, and safety standards.

Monitor subcontractors to ensure quality and schedule adherence.

Inspect, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems during installation and commissioning.

Identify defects or non-conformities and implement corrective actions.

Conduct regular site inspections and enforce safety measures.

Collaborate with consultants and project teams to resolve technical challenges and optimize performance.

Manage testing, commissioning, and handover documentation (as-built drawings, O&M manuals, certifications).

Evaluate contractor claims and propose value engineering or cost-effective solutions where applicable.

Promote the adoption of sustainable and energy-efficient electrical systems.


Requirements

Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field

5–7 years' experience in M&E roles, preferably in high-end residential or serviced apartments

Strong technical knowledge in building services (MV, lifts, fire protection, LV, fiber optics)

Experienced in project coordination across architecture, structure, and M&E

Familiar with construction sequencing, material selection, and local authority requirements (GBI, Green Mark, etc.)

Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and MS Project

Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Strong planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills
