Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare and file timely and accurate corporate income tax, indirect tax (SST), and other statutory returns.
-Ensure full compliance with all tax regulations set by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM).
-Manage tax payments, estimates, and provisions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
-Coordinate and manage tax audits and inquiries from the IRBM.
-Perform tax accounting activities, including preparing tax disclosures for financial statements.
-Conduct research on complex tax issues and monitor changes in Malaysian tax legislation.
-Liaise with external tax advisors and auditors as necessary.
-Assist in tax planning and strategy to optimize the company's tax efficiency.
-Support the finance team with general accounting and month-end closing activities as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
-Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in corporate tax, preferably within a Malaysian corporate environment or an accounting firm.
-Proficiency in both written and spoken Mandarin Chinese is mandatory to facilitate communication with the regional headquarters and other stakeholders.
-Strong understanding of Malaysian tax legislation (Income Tax Act, SST Act).
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.

Preferred:
-Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA Australia, or CTIM is a strong advantage.
-Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
-Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
-High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
