Key Accountabilities

Simulation & Data Analysis
-Perform financial simulations on business plans and proposals submitted by stakeholders for East Malaysia & Brunei.
-Evaluate financial impact and provide analysis, scenarios, and recommended options for Management’s review and decision-making.
-Conduct profitability and performance reviews by region, brand, and SKU to support commercial and strategic decisions.

Product Cost Simulations
-Perform product cost simulations under various scenarios, including changes in raw material, packaging, logistics, and volume assumptions.
-Support stakeholders with cost and margin analysis to enable informed pricing, promotion, and business decisions.

Accounting & Month End Closing
-Support timely month-end closing by preparing journal entries, accruals, and provisions in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
-Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data within stipulated closing timelines.

Financial Reporting
-Prepare, compile, and consolidate financial reports with variance analysis and clear commentaries for Management review.
-Highlight key drivers, risks, and improvement opportunities arising from financial results.
-Support annual budget and periodic forecast preparation, including data consolidation and analysis.

Systems & Process Automation
-Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders as part of project teams to support system enhancements and process automation.
-Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, data accuracy, and reporting through automation and improved workflows.

Job Requirements
-Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent. Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is an added advantage.
-Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in commercial finance, management accounting, or sales finance.
-Prior experience in FMCG, food & beverages, or distributor-based business models, with exposure to product costing, financial simulations, and month-end closing, is an added advantage.

Required Knowledge
-Commercial finance and management accounting principles.
-Product costing, margin analysis, and profitability tracking.
-Sales and trade finance concepts including pricing, promotions, rebates, and discounts.
-Month-end closing processes, accruals, and variance analysis.
-Budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance reporting.
-Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and financial reporting tools.
