Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
Serve as the regional owner acting as the IT SPOC (single point of contact) and SME (subject matter expert) for Business Intelligence (BI), covering data warehouse, reports, dashboards, and ETL integrations across the Southeast Asia (SEA) region.
Lead all BI-related projects and enhancement initiatives by working closely with vendor partners to ensure successful project delivery.
Lead and manage vendor partners to support and maintain the full spectrum of BI in a BAU environment, ensuring system stability and performance.
Act as the owner of the regional BI and analytics (Power BI) landscape, covering BI-related IT infrastructure, solutions, governance processes, and documentation.
Be accountable for all aspects of BI—from new initiatives, project delivery, to issue resolution and support/maintenance—by leading, managing, and collaborating closely with delivery and support vendors.
Responsible for managing automation scripts developed using RPA and Power Automate, ensuring proper maintenance and support with assistance from vendors.
Comply with the Asahi SEA IT Project Management methodology for delivering new projects/initiatives and adhere to the Asahi SEA ITSM framework for all support and maintenance activities.
Track and manage BI projects, change requests, and issues through the governance model to safeguard timely delivery according to agreed SLAs.
Maintain and support the enterprise-wide data warehouse and BI reports by ensuring end-to-end BI solutions remain in optimal condition, providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders.
Provide periodic and timely status updates to stakeholders and conduct regular service reviews with support vendors to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.
Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., vendors, business users, internal IT teams) to drive and influence decision-making, delivery, and issue resolution.
Proactively identify and lead improvement opportunities—whether in processes, solutions, or governance—and propose effective improvement plans.
Lead, drive, and work closely with multi-disciplinary IT teams and business stakeholders to complete projects, changes, and issue resolutions, covering requirement analysis, design, build, testing, deployment, and support.
Manage and address escalations and conflicts efficiently, coordinating them through the appropriate escalation channels when needed.
Lead, drive, and manage the delivery of projects/initiatives, enhancements, and issue resolutions to successful and satisfactory completion and closure.
Proactively learn and stay updated on rapid technology changes, developing in-depth knowledge in areas of assigned responsibilities.
Advocate for BI solutions across the business to encourage adoption and increase user engagement.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in BI / data warehouse design, including data modeling and data mining.
Proven track record in delivering, managing, and/or supporting mid-sized and moderately complex end-to-end BI solutions and landscapes.
Hands-on and functional experience in implementing Power BI, with knowledge of other BI technologies considered advantageous (e.g., SAP BI/BO, Data Lake, Tableau, etc.).
Demonstrated experience and expertise in database management, including: SQL Server, SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), ETL scripting and processes (Extract, Transform, Load).
Good knowledge and understanding of Big Data concepts, data visualization, and data/API layers.
Demonstrated business domain knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Finance, Order to Cash, Supply Chain, or other relevant domains.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Advantageous: experience and knowledge in automation tools (e.g., RPA, Power Automate).
Advantageous: industry experience and knowledge in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
