JOB RESPONSIBILITY

Languages: PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, MySQL; Python (good to have)

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience with WordPress (custom-built systems, not template-only work)

• Comfortable working with legacy codebases

• Solid PHP skills, Practical knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript

• Basic MySQL knowledge

• Basic Linux server knowledge:

• SSH access, file structure & permissions

• reading logs

• Familiar with Git / version control

• understands basic branching and avoiding direct edits on live systems

• Experience or familiarity with third-party system / API integration

• Careful, responsible approach to live systems



About the role

We are looking for a hands-on WordPress & PHP Developer to support and maintain a custom-built WordPress internal system. This role also involves bug fixing and maintenance of existing / legacy systems, as well as working on integration with third-party systems or APIs. The role focuses on execution and support, working under the direction of the a lead.



What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain a custom-built WordPress internal system

• Support stores (WooCommerce)

• Fix bugs and improve existing features in legacy systems

• Work on and improve integration with third-party systems or APIs

• Work with PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL

• Perform updates and maintenance work carefully

• Test changes on staging before deployment

• Provide first-line support for website and system-related issues

• Log and update all work clearly in the task system



Good to have

• Interest in or basic knowledge of Python

• Deeper experience with APIs or system integrations

• Basic awareness of security and performance considerations



Working style

• Comfortable following clear direction

• Patient with existing systems
