Job Description

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting

Oversee all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and budgeting for the Malaysian entity.

Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Prepare financial reports and liaise with regional HQ on financial performance updates.

Manage cash flow planning, treasury operations, and working capital efficiency.

Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts.

2. Compliance & Governance

Ensure full compliance with LHDN (Inland Revenue Board), SST (Sales & Service Tax), EPF/SOCSO/EIS, and other local regulatory requirements.

Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities for audits and statutory filings.

Maintain strong internal control systems and ensure compliance with company policies and local laws.

Manage corporate secretarial and statutory submissions under the Companies Act 2016.

3. Strategic Finance & Business Partnering

Provide financial insights to support business strategy, investment decisions, and cost optimization.

Work closely with the General Manager and regional finance team to drive profitability, operational efficiency, and funding strategies.

Support pricing models, financial modeling, and scenario analysis for new product launches or market expansions.

Participate in regional reporting.

4. Team Leadership & Development

Lead and mentor a small team of accountants or finance executives and HR & GA.

Establish efficient accounting workflows and promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and integrity.

Collaborate closely with other departments (Sales & Operations) to ensure smooth financial operations.



Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA / ACCA / CIMA qualification preferred.

Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Strong knowledge of MFRS, IFRS, tax, and regulatory compliance in Malaysia.

Experience in digital, e-commerce, fintech, or service-based industries preferred.

Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.

Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Strategic mindset with hands-on operational capability.
