Job Description

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Formulates and administers the Human Resources policies and procedures of the hotel.

Familiarizes self with corporate HR manual.

Prepares and maintain a HR manual for the hotel including philosophy, policies and procedures.

Communicate the content of the manual to all managers.

Acts on all correspondence within 48 hours.

Compiles monthly report by the 5th of each month for General Manager.

Prepare budget for Capex, administrative, training, employee relations, welfare and panel clinic or panel Hospital requirements.

Manpower Planning.

Coordinate manpower requirement analysis on an annual basis.

Conduct comparative manpower study.

Recommends appropriate staffing levels for all departments.

Recruitment of staff.

Ensures timely recruitment of all staff.

Reviews personal requisitions submitted by Department Head and makes appropriate Recommendations to Resident Manager.

Upon receiving approval, puts up internal notice where appropriate.

Ensure the selection of right candidate for the job.

Reviews all applications:

a) Screening

Shortlist candidates based on persons qualifications.

Reviews shortlisted candidates with the Department Head concerned.

Conduct reference check on the selected candidates. .

Medical Checkup.

b) Interviewing – Rank & File staff

Reviews the recommendations submitted by Department Head.

Approves all rank & file appointments.

c) Management Staff

Conducts the interview with Department Head Concerned.

Conduct reference check on the selected candidates.

Submits the recommendation on selected candidate for management position to GM for approval.

Ensures that induction and orientation for new employees are properly carried out.

Reviews the reports compiles by Training Manager on training needs.

Submits recommendations on training needs to GM for approval.

Organize appropriate courses.

Identifies suitable training resources internally or externally.

Analyses the training requirements and prepares action plans.

Liaises with the selected trainees.

Identifies employees with potential for cross exposure.

Maintains and enhances the Associates welfare to ensure high morale.

Oversees the provisions of quality meals for Associates Dining Hall.

Ensures that staff locker rooms and other facilities are in proper order, making regular inspections.

Performance appraisal.

Coordinate the annual employee appraisal for rank & file & management staff.

Prepare increment and bonus letter.

Maintains effective internal communication with Department Head, Supervisor and all employees.

Counsel employees on job related issues.

Develops and implements Associates motivation.



Method of evaluation:

Overall cost of Human Resources.

Discipline and Counselling/ Policies/ Human Relations/ Information or complaints/ Confidential matters/ Grievances/ Assistance/Employee Relation/Contract/Employee Act.
