Job Description

Job Requirements:

Degree in mechanical, electrical or related engineering.

10-14 years of working experience in relevant field.

5 years’ experience in Power Generation or related business with relevant knowledge in areas of electrical power engineering, rotating equipment, instruments and controls. materials, fabrication methods / procedures, heat transfer, noise control, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and relevant subjects related to power generation and project management.

Membership of Institute of Engineers, Malaysia and Board of Engineers, Malaysia will be an added advantage.

Good communication skills, both written and spoken. Good command of English and possess effective writing skills and presentation capabilities.

Conversant with Engineering standards, codes and practices for the industry. Be conversant with and practice risk management techniques, viz-a-viz terms and conditions of tender bids and contracts. Sufficient understanding of financial tools to manage department operations effectively.

Able to work at site conditions.



Job Descriptions:

To manage and oversee the activity of Sales in the aspects of the sales of prime equipment and balance of plant.

Establish good relationship with Principal, Caterpillar Energy Solution for the support of new equipment sales.

Ensure that the department’s objectives and MPlan are met. Responsible to set up sufficient resources to support the company’s budgeted Sales, Job’s profitability and PBIT.

Designing and implementing a strategic plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure having a strong brand presence in the market.

To plan, lead and guide the sales team to successfully achieve the sales goal and marketing plan.

Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.

Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.

Determines the sales revenue by projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analyzing trends and results; establishing pricing strategies; recommending selling prices; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand.

Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.

Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.

To monitor and control the debt collection for the project to ensure accounts do not become delinquent.

Interacts with all levels throughout the organization; including staff and vendors.

To work with Project Execution team to undertake the incoming projects in an efficient and optimum manner.

To work with after sales team to maintains customer records by updating customer information.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations

Ensure company policies are strictly adhered to by all subordinates.

To execute all procurement related activities in compliance to Group Policies and Authorities (GPA), and Group Procurement and Policies and Authorities (GPPA) and also SD Industrial’s procurement ‘Standard Operating Procedures (Procurement SOPs).

To maintain working environment complies to the ESH requirement.
