Position Summary:

The Project Engineer – Commissioning will be responsible for managing and executing the commissioning activities for data centre projects, ensuring all systems and equipment are tested, validated, and operational according to design specifications and client requirements. This role requires close coordination with the project team, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project handover.



Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning activities for all critical systems in a data centre including MEP, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, and building management systems (BMS).

Prepare commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules in coordination with the project team.

Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning tests for equipment and systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.

Review design documents, specifications, and drawings to ensure commissioning requirements are met.

Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues during commissioning.

Document and report all commissioning activities, test results, and system performance.

Identify and implement corrective actions for system deficiencies or non-conformances.

Support project handover, including training of client’s operational staff and submission of as-built documentation.

Ensure all commissioning activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.



Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or related field.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in commissioning for large-scale data centre or industrial projects.

Strong knowledge of data centre systems including UPS, generators, chillers, HVAC, fire detection and suppression, and BMS.

Experience with commissioning standards, procedures, and testing protocols.

Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Willingness to be on-site and travel within project sites in Selangor.
