Job Description
Work Location: 1Powerhouse, PJ (5mins walk from MRT Bandar Utama)
Working Hours: 2pm to 11pm/3pm to 12am MYT (day light savings)
Key responsibilities
RTR Controls, Delivery & Governance:
Oversee general ledger controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Lead month-end close, including journals, balance sheet reconciliation review, and P&L analysis.
Keep the balance sheet in good shape by guiding and enabling the team on reconciliations, corrective actions, and technical accounting matters.
Act as both an enabler and hands-on contributor, executing critical GL and reconciliation tasks, audits, and month-end close activities when required.
Support month-end close activities in line with Ireland working hours to ensure timely reporting.
Manage internal and external audits through structured guidance and delegation, enabling the team to deliver quality outputs.
Act as key contact for group reporting, technical accounting matters, and audit-related queries.
People Leadership & Talent Management:
Lead the team through effective delegation, assigning responsibilities clearly while maintaining oversight and accountability.
Coach, develop, and guide team members to enable them to execute high-risk and complex RTR activities effectively.
Actively manage team engagement and workplace experience, ensuring a motivated and stable workforce.
Foster a positive workplace experience aligned with global hybrid working expectations.
Ensure balanced workload distribution, cross-training, and succession planning.
Support learning and development initiatives to enable growth and capabilities across the team.
Service Delivery & Performance Management:
Deliver high-quality RTR services under tight deadlines, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Uphold process standards and service excellence, enabling consistent delivery and avoiding critical audit findings.
Finance Transformation & Continuous Improvement:
Lead and support Continuous Improvement (CI) and Digital Enablement (e.g., RPA) projects with measurable impact, enabling the team to work smarter and more efficiently.
Drive process improvements that enable faster, more accurate reporting and reduce manual effort.
Champion adoption of digital tools, automation, and standard processes, acting as an enabler for the team.
Support future finance transformations, migrations, and expansion of scope, enabling smooth transitions and effective change management.
Embed a continuous improvement and enabling mindset across the team.
Stakeholder & Partnership Management:
Partner with internal and external stakeholders in an agile way to enable collaboration, enhance service delivery, and achieve positive CSAT outcomes.
Support sustainability and CSR initiatives aligned with Kerry Financial Services.
Qualifications and skills
Preferably a Degree in Accounting or related finance field (ACA / ACCA / CIMA preferred).
Preferably 10+ years of experience in GL / RTR within FMCG, shared services, or multinational environments.
At least 3–4+ years of people leadership experience.
Digitally savvy with enabler skills, including finance transformation, process improvement, automation, and analytics.
Strong technical accounting and balance sheet management knowledge.
SAP experience: BPC / group reporting exposure is an advantage.
Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive results in a fast-paced, digital environment.
