Job Description
Key Responsibilities
As a Medical Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving the commercial success of HOVID’s pharmaceutical products. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Product Promotion & Sales
Promote and detail HOVID’s range of pharmaceutical products to general practitioners, specialists, pharmacists, and hospital procurement departments.
Educate healthcare professionals on product indications, benefits, usage, and clinical data to encourage adoption and prescription.
Territory Management
Plan and execute a structured territory coverage plan to maximize customer visits and engagement.
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory to grow market share.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitor activities and market trends.
Relationship Building
Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs), key opinion leaders (KOLs), pharmacists, and other stakeholders.
Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Sales Target Achievement
Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions when needed to meet KPIs.
Event Participation
Represent the company at medical conferences, product launches, exhibitions, and continuous medical education (CME) events.
Organize product talks, lunch-and-learn sessions, and small group discussions with healthcare professionals.
Reporting & Documentation
Submit timely and accurate sales reports, call plans, and activity summaries via CRM tools or designated reporting systems.
Provide feedback on market dynamics, customer needs, and product performance to the sales manager or marketing team.
Collaboration
Work closely with the marketing team to align on promotional activities and campaigns.
Coordinate with logistics, customer service, and finance departments to ensure smooth order processing and account servicing.
Compliance & Ethics
Ensure all promotional activities and interactions with HCPs comply with relevant pharmaceutical industry codes of conduct, company policies, and regulatory guidelines.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking individuals who are:
Experienced: Minimum 2 years in pharmaceutical or medical sales with a proven sales track record.
Industry-Savvy: Knowledgeable in the pharmaceutical/healthcare landscape in Malaysia.
Persuasive Communicators: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to influence and build rapport with HCPs.
Goal-Oriented: Results-driven with the ability to manage sales cycles independently.
Tech-Proficient: Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Resilient & Motivated: Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Team Player: Able to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders.
