Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership & Coordination
-Lead and manage the multidisciplinary design team, including architecture, structural, mechanical, electrical, and ELV engineers.
-Oversee the entire design lifecycle, from conceptual design through detailed design, construction support, and project handover.
-Ensure all engineering disciplines are fully coordinated and integrated to support data center operational requirements.
-Drive resolution of design clashes, technical conflicts, and coordination issues through design reviews and BIM coordination sessions.
-Ensure design deliverables are produced in accordance with the project Design Checklist and internal quality procedures.

Project Design Management
-Develop and manage the design schedule, ensuring all deliverables align with project milestones and construction timelines.
-Monitor design progress and ensure timely submission of drawings, reports, and technical documentation.
-Ensure the design meets contractual requirements, client specifications, and project budgets.
-Identify design risks early and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays or cost impacts.

Authority Compliance & Regulatory Coordination
-Ensure all designs comply with local authority regulations, building codes, and statutory requirements.
-Coordinate with submission consultants and authorities to ensure timely regulatory approvals.
-Manage incorporation of authority comments into the design in a timely manner.

Construction Support & Technical Oversight
-Provide technical leadership during construction, supporting site teams in resolving design-related issues.
-Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions.
-Ensure site supervision teams receive the latest approved design drawings and specifications.
-Work closely with Quality Assurance and construction teams to ensure installation aligns with design intent and specifications.

Stakeholder & Client Management
-Act as the primary technical interface with clients and consultants on all design matters.
-Chair design coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and internal project teams.
-Provide regular updates to project leadership on design progress, risks, and coordination issues.
-Ensure effective communication between design teams and construction teams.

Qualification & Experience
-Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
-Minimum 12–15 years of experience in engineering or design management, preferably in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large industrial projects.
-Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design teams in complex projects.
-Strong understanding of design coordination, authority submission processes, and construction support.
-Experience in design-and-build or EPC project environments is highly preferred.
