Assistant Manager, Tax (Tax/Accounting Firm)

What You’ll Do
-Manage client portfolios, including workflow planning, billing, and resource allocation.
-Review tax computations and advisory work prepared by the tax team to ensure compliance and accuracy.
-Provide expert tax advisory services to key clients and support complex tax matters such as planning, due diligence, and restructuring.
-Lead, coach, and develop Tax Team and Senior staff, including performance management and goal setting.
-Drive continuous improvement initiatives, from internal process optimization to client onboarding.
-Conduct technical training to strengthen the team’s technical knowledge and service delivery.

What You’ll Bring
-Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
-Experience: At least 6 years of relevant tax experience, with strong exposure to advisory and compliance work.
-Certification: Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CTIM) required; tax agent license is highly preferred.
-Technical Strength: In-depth knowledge of the Malaysian Income Tax Act 1967 and relevant tax legislation.
-Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills with strong business acumen and attention to detail.
