Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
-To develop the concepts and group-wide campaigns to market the malls in accordance with the positioning of the malls.
-To ensure that a clear market and marketing goals are set, planned, communicated, and coordinated for the malls.
-To implement a marketing strategy, upon agreed by the management; to achieve the objectives and goals for the malls.
-To develop and implement the annual marketing plan and to ensure that its contents are translated to the malls’ commercial calendars.
-To evaluate, plan and execute the most effective techniques and programs to achieve the desired results for the malls and its tenants.
-To get updated information and feedback from shoppers and tenants by conducting surveys, focus groups etc.
-To contribute to the establishment's yearly business plan in respective main areas of responsibility.
-To drive group-wide collaboration with strategic partners to increase WCT Buddy sign up rate
-To work closely with business units and to initiate marketing campaign that increase active member rate
-To develop a consistent group-wide communications strategy to enhance and maintain the consistency of the Malls’ image, positioning, and brand identity.
-To explore with all media owners and agencies on various advertising medium available for lease and to strategize an effective advertising plan for the Mall.
-To develop group-wide strategic partnership with tenants and strategic partners e.g. banks, multinational corporations on joint/ cross promotions.
-To monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of all promotions held, either by external parties or tenants, is consistent with the image, positioning, and brand identity which the Mall wants to project.
-To develop and execute creative ideas, designs, and innovative concepts to create the desired visual impact for group-wide initiatives.
-To support malls’ Advertising & Promotions department in all thematic or tactical campaigns with Above-The-Line materials, Below-The-Line materials, set-up concept, layout, supervision of set-up etc.
-To monitor and upkeep all visual displays in the Mall are in order and executive corrective measures if it is found otherwise.
-To build and maintain a close working relation with all tenants, media, public and local authority for mutual understandings and benefits.
-To develop a good working rapport with all media and to create positive and strategic publicity and media coverage for the Malls.
-To plan and organise relevant Corporate Social Responsibility programs that benefit the Malls and the surrounding community.
-To support overall group wide social media strategies and content development
Job Requirements:
-Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/ Advertising/Media/ Marketing Communications or equivalent.
-At least 8 years' working experience in shopping mall management or retail industry.
-Have experience in handling events and promotions.
-Good written and verbal communication skills – English and Bahasa Malaysia.
-Must possess a strong analytical mindset to evaluate the market situation in order to develop an effective marketing plan and strategy.
-Must be able to manage and work with different agencies to develop desired results for the Malls.
