Job Description
What you'll be doing:-
Assist the Finance Manager in overseeing Group reporting and consolidation, ensuring monthly Group closing, financial reporting, and audit processes are completed within the stipulated timeline.
Prepare and review consolidated monthly management reports, including financial performance and variance analysis for monthly and quarterly reporting, as well as monitoring Group budgets.
Review subsidiaries’ financial statements and management accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Group accounting policies and applicable accounting standards.
Perform Group consolidation, including preparation and review of consolidation schedules, journals, and supporting working papers.
Conduct intercompany reconciliation and elimination, ensuring all balances and transactions are properly matched and eliminated during the consolidation process.
Review consolidation adjustments, including intercompany eliminations, minority interests, and Group-level adjustments.
Handle foreign currency translation for overseas subsidiaries in accordance with accounting standards and Group policies.
Support the implementation and maintenance of Group accounting policies to ensure consistent application across subsidiaries.
Coordinate Group budgeting, forecasting, and financial projections, including consolidation of financial results across subsidiaries.
Monitor Group financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and projections, highlighting key variances and providing insights to management.
Ensure Group financial transactions and consolidation adjustments comply with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
Work closely with internal departments and subsidiary finance teams to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data, including project budget and cash flow reviews.
Support the annual audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and liaison with external auditors.
Liaise with financial institutions, auditors, tax agents, consultants, regulatory authorities, and statutory bodies on financial and reporting matters.
Assist in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), including financial due diligence, analysis, and integration of acquired entities into the Group reporting framework.
Contribute to improving Group financial reporting processes, internal controls, and consolidation procedures.
Perform ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and special projects as assigned by Senior Management.
Undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management when required
What we're looking for:-
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, preferably with prior experience in an audit firm.
Proven experience in construction industry finance and project accounting will be highly advantageous.
Strong knowledge of MFRS and financial reporting standards, particularly in a multi-entity or group environment.
Familiarity with ERP systems and financial management tools.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight reporting deadlines.
