Assistant Manager – QAQC (Precast Products)

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the QA/QC team, ensuring sufficient inspection coverage and continuous competency development through training on procedures, ISO standards, and root cause analysis.

· Establish, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring effective integration with IMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 22301).

· Ensure full compliance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and approved drawings, including MS EN 206, SS EN 206, SS 544, and CIS 21 & CIS 24.

· Oversee precast production inspections from reinforcement installation to final finishing, as well as material testing, in accordance with the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).

· Ensure all QA/QC procedures, SOPs, and documentation are properly implemented and controlled.

· Act as the main QA/QC focal point between factory, site teams, consultants, and clients, facilitating inspections, addressing quality issues, and ensuring timely NCR closure with effective feedback for improvement.

· Manage non-conformances, including defect control, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

· Support internal and external audits and management reviews by providing accurate quality data, analysis and performance insights.

· Monitor, analyze, and report quality performance, including KPIs, trends, NCRs status, and audit findings, ensuring alignment contractual and regulatory requirements.

· Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the management from time to time.



Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.

· Minimum 7 years of QA/QC experience in the precast concrete or construction industry.

· Good knowledge of precast production processes and concrete technology.

· Familiar with ISO standards, especially ISO 9001; knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is an advantage, including experience in audits, NCRs, and corrective actions.

· Experience in material testing and laboratory practices.

· Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.

· Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

· Proficient in documentation and report preparation.



Familiarity with ISO 22301 BCMS would be an added advantage.
