Position: Brand Promotion Manager (Malaysia Market)
Reports to: Marketing Director or Head of Overseas Business
Location: Malaysia
Headcount: 1
Expected Start Date: 1 April 2026
Position Overview
We are looking for a multilingual Brand Promotion Manager with deep insight into the Malaysian market. As the “localization expert” and “brand ambassador” in Malaysia, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive localised brand promotion strategies. Your core mission is to deeply integrate the group’s brand essence with Malaysia’s unique culture, customs, and market preferences. Through creative content and precise channel dissemination, you will effectively enhance brand awareness, reputation, and market share.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Insight & Strategy Development
-Conduct in-depth research on the Malaysian market environment, competitive landscape, consumer behaviour, and media habits, and produce regular market insight reports.
-Develop annual/quarterly brand promotion plans and budgets aligned with the group’s global brand strategy and tailored to the Malaysian market.
2. Localised Content Creation & Delivery
-Core Duty: Localise and adapt the group’s global promotional materials and key messages to ensure they align with Malaysian culture, customs, language practices, legal regulations, and social values.
-Write, review, and oversee the production of various localised promotional materials, including but not limited to: social media copy, advertising scripts, press releases, event write-ups, brochures, video subtitles, etc.
-Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, and consistent with the brand tone in terms of language (Malay, English, Chinese) and cultural context.
3. Integrated Marketing Promotion Execution
-Plan and manage online and offline brand promotion activities, such as press conferences, brand collaborations, KOL marketing, and community events.
-Manage local social media accounts, develop engagement strategies, and increase follower interaction and brand loyalty.
-Liaise with local advertising agencies, media, PR firms, and partners to ensure effective project implementation.
4. Media Relations & Reputation Management
-Establish and maintain good relationships with local mainstream media and industry outlets.
-Monitor the brand’s reputation and public sentiment in the local market, and respond promptly to potential PR crises.
5. Performance Monitoring & Optimisation
-Set clear promotion metrics, track and analyse the performance of various campaigns, and continuously optimise strategies based on data-driven insights.
Qualifications & Requirements:
1. Essential Criteria:
- Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in English, Malay, and Chinese for business communication, copywriting, and presentations. Proficiency in all three languages is a core competency.
2. Work Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in brand promotion, marketing, advertising copywriting, or related fields. Candidates with proven experience in successfully executing projects in the Malaysian market will be preferred.
3. Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Languages, or a related field.

-Excellent Copywriting & Creativity: Outstanding storytelling and content creation skills, with the ability to translate brand messages into compelling communication materials for local audiences.
-Deep Market Insight: Strong understanding and sensitivity to Malaysian culture, festivals, customs, and consumer behaviour.
-Project Management & Execution Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality work on time.
-Strong Communication & Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with headquarters and local partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience in FMCG, retail, e-commerce, or technology industry brand promotion.
-Established connections with local media, KOLs, or agencies.
-Familiarity with mainstream social media platforms and digital marketing trends in Malaysia.
