Business Development Manager / Leader

1. New Business Planning and Development

Explore new business themes in Malaysia and the broader Asia region, focusing on:

Circular economy

Resource recycling

Utilization of underused biomass

Conduct market research, regulatory analysis, and policy reviews

Design business models and operational schemes for new projects



2. Local Partner Sourcing and Relationship Building

Identify and engage with local companies (primarily Chinese-owned) for:

Strategic partnerships

Joint ventures (JV)

Research and select suppliers, recyclers, and other relevant stakeholders

Develop partnership strategies in coordination with the Overseas Business Team at Japan HQ

3. Negotiation, Contracting, and Scheme Development

Support negotiations and clarify terms with partner companies

Structure project financials and operational schemes, including:

Revenue and cost modeling

Contract review from legal and accounting perspectives

Coordinate with external experts such as legal counsel and accountants
Note: This role focuses on project structuring and facilitation rather than sales.



4. New Business Launch and Execution Support

Manage projects during the business launch phase

Oversee schedules, milestones, and stakeholder coordination

Drive proof-of-concept (PoC) and pilot projects

Support the establishment of local operations



5. Coordination and Reporting with Japan HQ

Report progress to the Overseas Business Team at Japan headquarters

Conduct online or in-person meetings with HQ team members

Align local project execution with HQ policies and strategic objectives



Requirements:
Experience in new business development

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Experience with project management / client follow-ups
