Business Development Manager (MY Pioneer Lead | Exhibition & Events | Mandarin)

The Role – Malaysia Market Lead
As the Pioneer Business Development Manager, you will:

1️⃣ Market Expansion & Sales Ownership
Spearhead entry into the Malaysia MICE & exhibition industry

Hunt new business, generate leads, close projects independently

Own full sales cycle from prospecting to contract signing

2️⃣ Strategic Quoting & Costing
Interpret client briefs and prepare accurate costing

Source local suppliers and negotiate pricing

Protect margins while remaining competitive

3️⃣ Supplier & Project Oversight
Build strong networks with workshops, contractors, and fabricators

Oversee fabrication and installation quality

Ensure delivery meets Singapore HQ standards

4️⃣ Future Team Leadership
Recruit and train local team as business scales

Progress toward country leadership & P&L ownership

Who we’re looking for
5+ years experience in Exhibition / Events / MICE industry (Sales / Project Management experience preferred)

Strong understanding of booth fabrication (wood, system, metal, materials costing)

Strong Malaysian industry network (organizers, suppliers, corporate clients)

Hunter mindset + operational understanding

Proven track record of meeting / exceeding sales targets

Fluent in English & Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin/Cantonese preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin/Cantonese-speaking clients.)

Own transport & willing to travel within Klang Valley & to Singapore HQ whenever necessary

Up to 5 digits Ringgit Malaysia Basic Salary (Negotiable)
