What You'll Do: -

Project Delivery Support:

Support execution of electrical scope for new builds, renovations, and rollout MESRA projects including C-stores, Café Mesra, Steers & Debonairs Pizza, and partners.

Review electrical drawings, load calculations, and installation plans (SLD & TLD).

Participate in project inspections, testing and commissioning prior to handover.

Support project teams in achieving project milestones within approved timeline, quality and budget.

Coordinate with retail engineering (RE) teams, PDB HSE, consultants, and contractors.

Provide technical recommendations to improve electrical design, maintainability and operational efficiency.

Regulatory Compliance & Governance:

Act as the appointed Chargeman in accordance with the Electricity Supply Act and Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) requirements.

Ensure adherence to Electricity Supply Act, Malaysian Standards, and PETRONAS HSE policies.

Ensure all maintenance activities are executed in accordance with company policies, procedures and HSE requirements.

Identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions promptly.

Maintain statutory documentation and support audits.

Contractor & Stakeholder Management:

Monitor contractor performance to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule and in accordance with agreed quality standards.

Ensure contractors comply with permit-to-work requirements, site safety rules and statutory obligations.

Verify work completion before handover (Initial Acceptance – IA).

Incident Management & Troubleshooting:

Respond to electrical faults and emergencies, to check and perform root cause analysis and corrective actions, before escalating to electrical contractors.

Prepare incident reports including findings, recommendations and corrective action plans.

Develop corrective and preventive measures to minimise future incidents.

Support business continuity during emergency situations.

Electrical Operations & Maintenance:

Ensure continuous and safe operation of low voltage (LV) electrical installations across all assigned sites.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.

Execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for electrical systems.

Conduct routine inspection of electrical installations and distribution systems.

Monitor system performance and proactively address potential failures.

Ad-Hoc Support:

Perform ad-hoc duties and assignments as directed by the immediate superior.

Qualifications & Experience: -

Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or related discipline.

Valid Chargeman A1 Certificate (ST Malaysia).

Minimum 5 years relevant experience, and on-site job.

Registered Chargeman with the relevant regulatory authority in Malaysia.

Experience supporting multi-site operations will be an added advantage.

Experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and project execution.

Working Conditions:

Based at the Head Office with regular travel to MESRA retail outlets, project sites and other business locations nationwide.

Required to visit multiple sites to support preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, inspections, renovations and new store openings.

May be required to work outside normal office hours, including weekends and public holidays, to attend to emergency breakdowns or support critical business operations.

Required to be on standby or on-call to respond to electrical emergencies, where necessary.

Frequent coordination with contractors, landlords, consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of maintenance and project activities.
