Responsibilities:

Electrical System Oversight:

Oversee the operation and maintenance of the hospital's electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and emergency generators.

Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

Routine Inspections and Maintenance:

Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and equipment to identify issues or potential risks.

Coordinate preventive maintenance activities to enhance system reliability.

Troubleshooting and Repairs:

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions or breakdowns.

Coordinate repairs and replacements as necessary to minimize downtime.

Safety Compliance:

Ensure that all electrical installations and equipment adhere to safety regulations.

Implement and monitor safety protocols for electrical systems.

Energy Conservation:

Identify opportunities for energy conservation and efficiency improvements in electrical systems.

Implement measures to optimize energy usage while maintaining functionality.

Emergency Response:

Develop and implement emergency response plans for electrical-related incidents.

Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure a swift response in case of electrical emergencies.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of electrical inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Generate reports as required for management review.

Vendor Coordination:

Liaise with external vendors and contractors for electrical-related services.

Manage relationships with suppliers and ensure timely delivery of electrical components.

Training and Development:

Provide training to staff on electrical safety protocols and best practices.

Stay informed about advancements in electrical technology and share knowledge with the team.

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

Education

Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Requirements

1. Chargeman Certificate from the Energy Commission of Malaysia.

2. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.

3. Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for electrical issues.

4. Effective communication and teamwork skills.

5. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

6. Commitment to safety and compliance.

Working Conditions

1. Standard office hours with occasional flexibility based on maintenance needs.
