Commercial Contracting Specialist

Responsibilities:



Manage the end-to-end commercial project lifecycle, from bid evaluation and contract preparation to project completion and handover.

Draft, review, and coordinate contracts and agreements with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company policies.

Handle voluminous and complex contracts, requiring careful review, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of commercial terms.

Work closely with cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Operations, and Project Delivery) to align commercial terms with business strategy and project requirements.

Support risk management efforts by identifying potential commercial and contractual risks and ensuring appropriate mitigation measures are in place.

Monitor project progress, deliverables, billing milestones, and payment terms using internal systems.

Follow up on payment status and ensure timely billing and collection.

Prepare commercial proposals, project summaries, and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders.

Participate in meetings and discussions to support negotiations, clarifications, and project coordination.

Contribute to process improvements such as workflow optimization, tracker automation, and compliance enhancements.

Requirements:



Bachelor’s degree in Law, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in contract administration, project coordination, or commercial support, preferably in engineering, telecom, or infrastructure projects.

Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills, with the ability to interpret complex documents and data.

Sound understanding of business strategy and risk management principles.

Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple timelines and priorities.

Good stakeholder management and communication skills.

Open-minded and willing to learn across legal, commercial, and technical areas.

Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP/NetSuite is a plus.
