Job Description

Key Responsibilities:-

Financial Closing & Reporting
-Lead and oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities for holding companies in Malaysia and Singapore
-Review journals, accruals, provisions, and adjustments to ensure accuracy and compliance
-Prepare and review statutory financial statements, management reports, and audit schedules
-Ensure compliance with MFRS/IFRS, Group accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
-Provide financial analysis, including budget vs. actual variance and cash flow forecasts to management
-Support Group consolidation and reporting requirements

Treasury & Cash Management
-Oversee cash flow planning, liquidity management, and funding requirements
-Monitor bank balances, cash positions, and working capital
-Authorize and review payments, intercompany settlements, and staff claims
-Manage banking relationships, facilities, and documentation
-Ensure robust internal controls over treasury activities

Audit & Statutory Compliance
-Lead coordination with external auditors during annual audits and ensure timely completion
-Liaise with company secretary on statutory filings, board resolutions, and corporate governance matters
-Coordinate with tax agents on corporate tax computation, filing, and compliance matters
-Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements across jurisdictions

Payments & Operational Finance Oversight
-Oversee vendor payments, reimbursements, and intercompany transactions for accuracy and timeliness
-Review bank reconciliations and financial records to ensure completeness
-Ensure proper documentation, approval processes, and compliance with internal controls
-Drive improvements in finance processes and operational efficiency

Group & Intercompany Coordination
-Act as key finance contact between the holding company and subsidiaries
-Oversee intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and balances
-Support Group-level reporting, consolidation, and corporate finance initiatives
-Participate in strategic projects, investment activities, and ad hoc assignments as required

Leadership & Process Improvement
-Supervise and mentor finance staff (if applicable)
-Establish and maintain effective financial controls and procedures
-Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting quality, and operational processes
-Support implementation of finance-related initiatives across the Group

Requirements:-
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
· Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) is strongly preferred
· Minimum 6–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in investment holding, corporate, or Group finance environment
· Experience in Public Listed Companies is an advantage
· Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Infor SyteLine) is an added advantage
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
· Sound knowledge of MFRS/IFRS, taxation, and regulatory requirements
· Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
