Job Description
Position : Corporate Sales Manager, Sales & Marketing Strategy, Bimb Investment Management Berhad
Summary
Involved in all aspects of client’s servicing which includes the acquisition of new clients, the retention and servicing of existing clients, and interaction with the Investment, Product and Operation teams to meet clients’ investment needs. Ultimately, to achieve sales targets and maintain AUM under corporate channel.
Duties and Responsibilities
Corporate Sales:
To originate new pipeline based on available list of company, GLC, foundation, universities, corporates, etc.
To ensure completeness of the necessary documents for onboarding of clients
Conduct periodical client engagement including regular client visit.
Joint marketing calls with GIB / BIMB and cross sell/up-sell BIMB Investment solutions to potential corporate clients.
To introduce Company Profile and its investment products and services to prospective and existing clients.
Implementing marketing plan by identifying and sourcing prospects for new mandates
To manage, plan, execute and monitor sales and marketing activities for corporate business under purview to achieve the targeted sales & AUM.
Work with superior to set short-term and long-term sales targets and marketing objectives for corporate business
Oversee the process of end-to-end client servicing including onboarding of clients and managing complaints for clients under portfolio
Work with superior to identify market opportunities, analyze consumer trends, optimize product positioning, and strengthen brand identity
Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional and retail clients, ensuring their needs are met and positioning the firm as a trusted partner. This role also involves working closely with the investment team to tailor offerings that meet client objectives
Work closely with the product development team to ensure existing investment products still relevant to the market and identify opportunities for new product offerings that meet market demand
Track and report on sales and marketing performance under corporate, adjusting strategies as needed to meet business objectives and maximize profit.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to be able to innovate and adapt sales and marketing approaches to remain competitive.
Implement best practices and new tools to enhance efficiency.
Cost Management:
Prepare and manage the sales and marketing budget.
Monitor ROI on marketing investments and adjust strategies as necessary.
Ensure cost-effectiveness while achieving business objectives
Risk & Control:
Ensure sales and marketing strategies and activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Stay informed about changes in regulations that could affect the company.
Identify potential risks associated with sales and marketing activities, including market, operational, reputational, and compliance risks. Regularly assess these risks to determine their impact on the company’s objectives.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize exposure. This includes establishing processes and controls to manage risks effectively, such as approval workflows, compliance checks, and crisis management plans.
Continuously monitor risk factors within sales and marketing operations.
Safeguard the company’s reputation by ensuring that marketing campaigns and sales practices align with brand values and ethical standards. Address any issues swiftly to prevent damage to the brand.
People Management:
Provide guidance among the team members.
Assist and work closely with other units within the division effectively.
Promote clear and transparent communication to facilitate information sharing, feedback exchange, and goal alignment within the team
Other Roles
Prepare and present reports on corporate sales and marketing performance to senior management at regular intervals as per requirements. These reports should include key metrics, achievements, challenges, pipeline development, progress toward targets and areas / plan for improvement.
Ensure adherence and compliance to all internal policies/guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
Any other duties/assignment as and when directed/assigned by the superior as per business requirement from time to time.
