Cost Accountant

Cost Accounting & Analysis
Monitor actual costs vs. standard costs and investigate variances.
Analyze standard costs of products and services.
Oversee inventory valuation and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
Review and reconcile work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods inventories.
Perform bi-annual inventory counts.

Financial Reporting & Compliance
Assist in month-end close activities including journal entries related to inventory, cost accruals, and adjustments.
Prepare full set of accounts for multiple entities. Maintain and update general ledger accounts, oversee the daily accounting operations of the business, including revenue, expenses, and cost allocations.
Prepare and review accounting entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end schedules.
Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
Ensure accurate financial records related to product costing.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.

Continuous Improvement
Recommend improvements in cost control processes and systems.
