As an Electrical Assistant Engineer, you’ll support AMHS and production equipment, contributing directly to smooth operations, reliability, and efficiency. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop expertise, work alongside experienced engineers, and advance in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
Support the electrical and testing function during engineering and production phase; including engineering, installation, repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of the AMHS equipment and system to ensure stable and safe engineering and production operations.
Carry out testing and commissioning IO check, signal tracing, power supply checks, interlock/safety chain on the AMHS system.
Read and interpret engineering electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documents to ensure accurate assembly.
Assist in setup, alignment, and installation of production assemblies following standard operating procedures.
Perform basic troubleshooting on electromechanical components and support fault resolution during assembly.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure builds are completed on schedule.
Conduct in-process quality checks to verify compliance with specifications.
Maintain assembly tools, fixtures, and workstations in good working conditions.
Accurately record assembly data, issues, and material usage in compliance with company procedures and ISO 9001 QMS.
Participate in process improvements, electrical and test layout optimization, and workflow standardization initiatives.
Follow workplace safety protocols and contribute to a clean and organized assembly environment.
Support internal ISO 9001 audits and assist with corrective actions as required.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.
Qualification
Working Experience
3-5 years of hand-on working experience in assembly production, preferably in automation or semiconductor environments.
Exposure to electrical and test function of the AMHS, automation equipment, or electromechanical systems is an advantage.
Education
Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering fields.
Essential Knowledge & Skills
Solid understanding of assembly processes, mechanical parts, and electrical wiring.
Basic knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and production tools.
Able to read and follow engineering drawings and schematics. (advantageous)
Familiarity with safety procedures and ISO 9001 quality practices.
Team-oriented, responsible, and eager to learn in a hands-on environment.
Good communication skills to collaborate with technicians, engineers, and other departments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); CAD exposure is a plus.
Willingness to travel domestically or internationally for projects if needed.
Bilingual (e.g., English and Mandarin) is an added advantage.
