Export Operations Manager (Sea Freight / LCL)

Job Responsibilities

1. End-to-End LCL Export Operations Management

Lead and manage the full LCL export operations process, including booking, container stuffing, export documentation, customs coordination, and shipment monitoring.

Ensure operational efficiency, service quality, and full compliance with company SOPs and industry regulations.

Continuously optimize workflows, processes, and operational cost structures.

Supervise the operations team to ensure smooth daily execution and timely shipment handling.

2. Market Development & Strategic Resource Integration (Malaysia Market)

Conduct analysis of the local LCL market, competitors, and customer demand.

Support management in developing strategies for route development and business expansion.

Build and maintain strong partnerships with freight forwarders, warehouses, trucking providers, and logistics partners to strengthen the local logistics network.

3. Client Relationship & Team Management

Handle operational inquiries from clients and partners while providing effective logistics solutions.

Work closely with the sales team and internal departments to ensure high service standards.

Maintain strong relationships with key clients and address operational issues proactively.

Lead and develop the operations team through training, daily supervision, and performance management.

Set and monitor team KPIs to drive productivity and service quality.

4. Compliance, Risk Control & Quality Assurance

Ensure all operations comply with Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM) regulations, international shipping requirements, and company internal controls.

Identify operational risks and implement preventive measures to minimize disruptions.



Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in LCL export operations within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.

At least 2 years of experience managing or supervising an operations team.

Strong understanding of LCL consolidation processes, shipping documentation, and sea freight operations.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment and manage operational challenges effectively.

Able to travel locally for industry networking and partner visits when required.

Able to commence work in April will be an added advantage.
