Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the entire operation of Poultry and Eggs division. Handles sales generated from P&M retail outlet, S’MART Poultry tenants, Midas E-Store and Inter-companies (i.e. Smart Bee Grocer and Ji-Mart) as well as other sales.
2. Set up a proper seafood department for goods distribution to inter-companies.
3. Supervising and ensure correct ordering, receiving, goods distribution, unloading, storage and rotation of merchandise and building of displays.
4. To ensure orders are completed in a timely manner. Meet productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets.
5. Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction (delivery on time and correct goods & quantity being delivered) are met. Review operation goals with staff, on a daily basis.
6. Resolve any arising problems or complaints; plan for and negotiating technical difficulties to ensure smooth flow of the entire operation.
7. Prepare cutting seafood / poultry list to maximize sales and gross profit as well as reduce waste.
8. Managing and train staff. Ensuring the staff members involved in the process perform their assigned tasks up to the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
9. Drives training on the execution of fresh merchandising plans and cutting skills in respective retails outlets, i.e. P&M, Smart Bee Grocer + Ji-Mart outlets to support growth.
10.Maintain proper resources (e.g. headcount, electricity, ice and tools such as ice box, etc.) to ensure facility is operating within established labour budget and usage of resources and operation output for each shift.
11.Perform staff duties if required.
12.Ensure compliance with all operation SOP, packing and bagging/tagging standard, and other QC guidelines
13. Ensure compliance with all food safety & hygiene procedures and partner with Project and Maintenance team to monitor cold chain temperatures (including Warehouse cold room and Lorry Cold Trucks)
14. Oversee budgeting, costing and sales & gross profit targets.
15. Evaluating competitors and industry trends; analyzing data and creating plans to capture fresh business opportunities;
16. Perform reporting and data analysis tasks to assess performance, identify issues and devise plans for process improvements and achieve efficiency.
17. Perform inventory tasks which included monthly stocktake, price changes, maintain a fully stocked store, etc.
18. Other duties assigned by the Superior &/or the Management.
Requirements:
1.Minimum 3 Year(s) of relevant working experience in the seafood & poultry department. Familiar with sourcing, merchandising and handling seafood and poultry.
2. Good seafood and poultry cutting skills. Equipped with stock keeping skills and spotting quality.
3. Approach all aspects of work with a strong customer focus.
4. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
5. Willing to work on weekends and public holidays.
6. Cooperative, responsible and able to work in a team.
7. Good leadership skills to direct staff.
8. Good communication skills at all levels and above average analytical skills.
9. IT literate and familiar with MS Excel, MS Word and MS Power Point. Familiar with Panda Retail System would be an added advantage.
