Role Overview

The Hair Stylist plays a vital role in delivering professional hair services while creating a positive and enjoyable experience for every customer. This role is responsible for providing quality hair cutting, styling, colouring, and treatment services, maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer care, and contributing to the overall success of the salon.

The ideal candidate is passionate about hairdressing, keeps up with current industry trends, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

1. Hair Services

Provide professional hair cutting, styling, colouring, perming, rebonding, and other hair services according to company standards

Consult with customers to understand their preferences and recommend suitable hairstyles.

Deliver high-quality services while ensuring customer comfort and satisfaction

Stay updated with current hair trends, techniques, and products

2. Customer Consultation & Service

Build strong relationships with customers through professional and friendly service

Provide advice on hair care, maintenance, and suitable products

Handle customer enquiries and address concerns professionally

3. Salon Operations

Prepare workstations before each appointment

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of styling stations, tools, and equipment

Ensure all salon equipment is properly maintained and sanitized

Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming salon environment

4. Inventory Support

Maintain accurate customer service records when required

Ensure proper inventory checks and storage of salon supplies

5. Compliance & Professional Standards

Ensure all services are performed in accordance with company SOPs, hygiene standards, and safety procedures

Maintain professional grooming and appearance at all times

Participate in training and continuously improve technical skills and product knowledge

Who We Are Looking For

1. Education:

- Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Hairdressing, Cosmetology, Beauty, or a related field is preferred.

2. Experience:

- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Hair Stylist
- Experience in hair cutting, colouring, styling, chemical treatments, and customer consultation is required
- Experience in a professional salon environment is highly preferred

3. Technical Skills

- Proficient in hair cutting, colouring, and styling.

4. Language

- Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Mandarin is an added advantage.
