INSPECTOR OF WORK - ELECTRICAL

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inspection & Testing:

Perform inspections of ongoing site works, including:

Civil: trenching, foundations, access roads, drainage.

Mechanical: module mounting structures, torque checks, PV module installation.

Electrical: DC/AC cabling, inverters, transformers, earthing, cable terminations.

Verify compliance with approved construction drawings, technical specifications, and relevant standards.

Conduct pre-installation and post-installation inspections.

Witness and document testing (insulation resistance, continuity, torque verification, etc.).

2. Quality Control & Assurance:

Implement and follow Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).

Identify and report Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs); monitor corrective/preventive actions.

Ensure proper calibration and use of testing tools and equipment.



3. Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate inspection records, test results, and QA/QC documentation.

Prepare Daily Inspection Reports, Weekly QA Reports, and Final Quality Dossiers.

Support preparation of as-built documentation and quality handover packages.

4. Coordination & Communication:

Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, and the QA/QC manager.

Attend site coordination meetings and communicate inspection outcomes.

Promote compliance with quality and HSE procedures during site activities.



Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Diploma or Degree in Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years QA/QC inspection experience in construction, preferably in solar or power generation projects.

Solid knowledge of QA/QC systems and inspection tools.

Skills:

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications.

Experience with international standards: IEC, IEEE, ISO 9001, NEC, etc.

Familiarity with ITPs, NCRs, and quality documentation practices.



Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory but Advantageous):

ISO 9001: Quality Management Systems



Working Environment:

Site-based role under outdoor conditions.

Must be physically fit to perform inspections across large project areas.
