Job Description

Key Roles and Responsibilities:-

Insurance Policy Administration
-Manage and administer insurance coverage for palm oil estates and mills, including buildings, machinery, vehicles and other assets.
-Handle various insurance policies such as fire, machinery breakdown, business interruption, liability, workers’ compensation, motor and statutory insurances.
-Ensure timely policy renewals, updates and coordination with insurers and brokers.
-Maintain accurate asset registers with finance / Operating Units and insured values.

Claims Handling & Coordination
-Manage insurance claims arising from operational incidents, accidents, equipment breakdowns, natural disasters and employee injuries.
-Coordinate incident reporting and documentation with estates, mills, engineering, transport and safety teams.
-Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, surveyors and contractors to facilitate inspections and settlements.
-Track and follow up claims until final settlement.

Operational Risk & Compliance Support
-Assist in identifying insurable risks across estate and mill operations, logistics, storage and worker safety.
-Support implementation of loss prevention measures and insurer recommendations.
-Ensure compliance with statutory insurance requirements and company policies.

Coordination with Estates & Mills
-Work closely with estate and mill management on insurance-related matters.
-Provide guidance on insurance procedures, claim reporting timelines and documentation requirements.

Reporting & Documentation
-Maintain accurate records of insurance policies, claims, premiums, and correspondence.
-Prepare regular insurance and claims reports for management and audits.

Requirements: -
-Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance or a related field.
-Minimum 1 to 2 years of working experience in insurance administration, underwriting support or customer service.
-Experience in handling policy documentation, endorsements, renewals or claim support.
-Good knowledge in insurance products, policy administration and basic underwriting concepts.
-Candidate who possess good knowledge in insurance regulations and compliance requirements, experience working with insurance, brokers or agents and good knowledge in specific insurance lines eg. Life, General, Health, Motor, Commercial Insurance - Estates and Mills, is an added advantage.
-Possess strong administrative and documentation skills.
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, resourceful with a pleasant personality and nimble.
-Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
-Proactive, self-motivated and willing to take on new challenges.
-Possess own transport, in good health and fit to work.
-Willing to work extra hours as and when required.
