IT Assistant Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, and backup systems.

Manage and configure networking equipment (switches, routers, wireless access points) to ensure stable and secure connectivity.

Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot FortiGate firewall systems, including VPNs, web filtering, IPS/IDS, and security policies.

Plan, lead, and implement IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are met.

Ensure network security and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Manage system performance, availability, and disaster recovery procedures.

Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for procurement, support, and contract management.

Supervise IT support teams in resolving technical issues and user requests in a timely and efficient manner.

Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to improve operational efficiency.

Prepare and maintain documentation, reports, and IT asset inventories.

Provide strategic input for IT planning and budgeting in alignment with organizational goals.

Enforce and improve IT policies, procedures, and best practices.



REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or a related field is required.

Candidates with additional certifications such as ITIL, MCSE, MCSA, Fortinet and or others would be advantageous

Minimum 5 years of working experience

Having hands on experience in managing and configuring firewall (Fortigate) and good overall knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)

Strong knowledge of Active Directory (ADFS, Azure AD), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy

Good understanding of IT systems, security, networking and other IT related platforms.

A team player who is self-motivated, independent and has excellent interpersonal skills

Able to handle projects and to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrate good analytical skills and ability in problem-solving
