Job Title: Lead Application Developer (PeopleSoft)

1. Position Summary
The Lead Application Developer (PeopleSoft) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications, with a focus on PeopleSoft-based systems and related integrations. This role supports system enhancements, interface development, and ongoing maintenance activities to ensure reliable and efficient application performance. The position works closely with business analysts, architects, and end-users to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions while supporting system rollout, testing, and data migration activities.
2. Key Responsibilities
Core Technical Tasks:
Participate in application development, enhancement, and maintenance for enterprise systems.
Design and develop system interfaces, reports, and forms based on business and functional requirements.
Develop and maintain solutions using relational databases and SQL/PLSQL.
Support system integration, API development, and data transformation processes.
Conduct unit testing and system testing, troubleshoot technical issues, and resolve defects.
Assist with data migration, validation, and system deployment activities.
Project & Strategy
Contribute to system implementation and enhancement projects.
Support improvements to application performance, scalability, and system integration.
Assist in aligning development work with enterprise architecture and system integration strategies.
Security & Compliance
Ensure database and application operations comply with organizational security standards and best practices.
Support controlled change management processes and patch implementation.
Collaboration & Support
Work closely with business analysts, system architects, and functional teams to gather and refine requirements.
Collaborate with end-users and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including:
System specifications
Test scripts
Deployment procedures
System configuration records
3. People Leadership (Include Only for Senior / Lead Roles)
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers when required.
Support knowledge sharing and encourage adherence to development standards and best practices.
4. Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience: 5–8 years of hands-on experience in enterprise application development or system implementation.
Technical Skills:
Oracle Database
Oracle SQL
PL/SQL
Oracle database architecture and schema design
Performance tuning and query optimization
Integration with Java-based applications
Core Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to troubleshoot complex application and database issues
Good communication and cross-team collaboration skills
Ability to work in a structured support environment
5. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to have)
Advanced Skills:
•Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
Familiarity with PeopleTools development framework.
Exposure to cloud platforms and middleware tools, including:
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
Certifications:
•PeopleSoft technical certifications (advantageous)
•Cloud platform certifications such as OCI certifications (optional)
Industry Experience:
Experience supporting enterprise systems in higher education, HRMS, or financial systems environments.
