Logistic Engineer - MNC - Klang - New Setup Factory

Position Summary

Responsible for logistics system planning, transportation cost optimization, import–export coordination, and warehouse process design for the Malaysia plant.

Ensure smooth supply chain operations between China HQ and the Malaysia factory.

Support production planning and cost control objectives.

Core Responsibilities

Supply Chain & Logistics Planning

Plan inbound and outbound logistics processes for raw materials and finished goods.

Optimize China–Malaysia transportation models (sea, air, and land).

Develop logistics cost models to control freight expenses.

Analyze inventory turnover and reduce working capital tied up in inventory.

Import & Export Coordination

Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and port operators.

Ensure compliance with Malaysia customs regulations and COO requirements.

Manage duties and SST-related documentation.

Resolve customs clearance issues and shipment exceptions.

Warehouse & Internal Logistics Optimization

Design warehouse layout for Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods.

Implement FIFO practices and batch traceability systems.

Optimize internal material flow within production areas.

Support ERP/WMS implementation and process integration.

Cost & Performance Management

Analyze transportation cost structures and logistics spending.

Monitor freight cost as a percentage of sales.

Develop and track KPIs such as OTIF, Inventory Turnover, and Freight per Unit.

Support finance in logistics cost analysis and reporting.

China–Malaysia Communication & Coordination

Liaise with China HQ supply chain, procurement, and finance teams.

Coordinate production plan adjustments and supply requirements.

Prepare logistics reports in both Chinese and English.

Participate in cross-border coordination meetings.
