Job Description

Inventory Planning & Stock Management
-Monitor inventory levels, stock holding capacity, stock movement trends, and ageing inventory to maintain healthy inventory turnover.
-Analyse product performance across categories, collections, and sales channels to identify replenishment needs and stock risks.
-Ensure optimal stock coverage based on sales forecasts, demand patterns, and seasonal cycles.
-Execute accurate replenishment planning to minimise stock-outs and avoid excessive overstock situations.
-Maintain proper inventory records and ensure stock data accuracy across systems.
-Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure accurate stock intake, stock transfers, and inventory reconciliation.

Buying & Purchasing Execution
-Execute buying plans aligned with product direction set by the Senior Jewellery Designer cum Merchandiser.
-Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
-Coordinate closely with suppliers on order confirmations, production progress, delivery schedules, and shipment tracking.
-Monitor incoming stock deliveries to ensure quantities, specifications, and timelines are fulfilled as agreed.
-Support cost management by assisting in pricing comparisons and supplier negotiations.
-Ensure all purchasing activities support targeted margin structures and inventory efficiency.

Demand Forecasting & Data Analysis
-Analyse historical sales data, stock movement trends, and demand patterns to support accurate buying decisions.
-Assist in forecasting inventory requirements for new collections, evergreen items, and seasonal products.
-Provide regular inventory and purchasing reports to support management decision-making.
-Track key inventory metrics such as stock coverage days, sell-through rates, and replenishment cycles.

Supplier Relationship & Production Management
-Work with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and manage the production process.
-Build, manage and strengthen relationships with suppliers and agents, while abiding by company’s policies and guidelines.
-Negotiate with new and existing quality suppliers to achieve best quality, pricing, profit margin, minimum order quantity, payment terms, trading terms and lead times.
-Evaluate supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery, quality standards, and pricing competitiveness.
-Source for new suppliers to meet company’s standard of qualities and profitability.

Stock Allocation & Cross-Channel Coordination
-Coordinate stock allocation and replenishment across retail outlets, booth, warehouse, e-commerce channels, partners, etc.
-Ensure balanced stock distribution to minimise channel imbalances and lost sales opportunities.
-Support product launches by ensuring inventory readiness across all sales touchpoints.
-Work closely with operations teams to ensure smooth stock movement and fulfilment efficiency.

Collaboration & Support Functions
-Assist in aligning inventory planning with product development direction.
-Provide merchandising insights and inventory analysis to support product assortment planning.
-Coordinate with relevant teams on stock costing, purchase documentation, and inventory reporting.
-Support cross-functional teams with accurate stock and purchasing updates.
-Undertake additional merchandising and operational responsibilities.

Skills and Qualifications:
-Minimum 2 years of experience in merchandising, buying, inventory control, or retail planning.
-Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or related field.
-Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and inventory planning tools.
-Good understanding of inventory lifecycle, stock control processes, and retail operations.
-Attention to detail and a keen eye for fashion, trends and aesthetics.
-Detail-oriented with strong organisational and coordination skills.
-Strong communication skills when liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
-Ability to work in a structured, data-driven environment within the fashion retail industry.
-Fluent spoken and written in chinese language will be added advantage.
