Operation & Maintenance Technician (A4)

Job Requirements
· Must possess a valid Chargeman A4 Certificate issued by the Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
· Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field.
· Minimum 3–4 years of experience in electrical maintenance or building M&E operations.
· Knowledge of electrical systems, switchboards, transformers, Solar and safety procedures.
· Experience in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and emergency response.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities

1. Electrical Operation & Maintenance
-Operate and monitor all electrical systems within the building.
-Perform routine inspection, servicing, and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment.
-Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and breakdowns.
-Ensure electrical systems operate safely and efficiently.

2. Building Facilities Management
-Maintain electrical distribution systems such as switchboards, panels, wiring, and lighting.
-Attend to electrical complaints from building occupants.
-Coordinate with contractors for electrical repair or maintenance works.
-Ensure all electrical equipment complies with safety requirements.

3. Rooftop Solar PV System Maintenance
-Conduct regular inspection of solar panels, inverters, isolators, and related equipment.
-Supervise basic cleaning and preventive maintenance of solar panels.
-Monitor Solar PV system performance and report abnormalities.
-Coordinate with solar vendors or service providers for major maintenance works.
-Ensure the solar system operates efficiently and safely.

4. Safety & Compliance
-Ensure all electrical works comply with regulations by the Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
-Follow electrical safety procedures and lockout/tagout practices.
-Maintain records of inspection, maintenance, and repair activities.

5. Emergency Response
-Attend to electrical emergencies and power failures.
-Assist in restoring electrical systems during breakdowns.

6. Reporting & Documentation
-Prepare maintenance reports and daily logbooks.
-Report major electrical issues to the supervisor or management.
