Paymaster cum General Cashier

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Paymaster cum General Cashier to join the Finance team at the Iconic Marjorie Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio hotel in Bayan Lepas, Penang. This full-time role will be responsible for processing payroll, managing petty cash and other financial duties to support the smooth operation of the hotel.

What you'll be doing

Oversee the preparation and disbursement of accurate and timely payroll for all hotel employees

Manage petty cash, including recording transactions, reconciling balances and replenishing funds

Process payments to employees, vendors and suppliers

Maintain proper documentation and records for all financial transactions

Assist with month-end close and financial reporting as required

Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures

Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders

Participate in internal, external, and regulatory audit processes and ensure compliance with SOPs
