Product Engineer (Junior/ Entry Level)

Position Overview
Magnet is a leading provider of integrated building security solutions. We provide cutting-edge security hardware and proprietary software platforms. We are seeking an innovative Product Engineer to lead our security solution product (Access control/ CCTV/ Automation Gate) portfolio. This pivotal role combines technical expertise with strategy thinking to drive product evolution while ensuring excellence in documentation and knowledge transfer. You will bridge R&D, technical, market needs, and organizational capabilities in a dynamic security technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead feature innovation and enhancement roadmaps for security products (Access Control/CCTV systems/Automation Gate).

Conduct competitive analysis and integrate emerging technologies.

Develop product specifications, user manuals, and testing protocols.

Implement end-to-end quality control processes across development stages and validate system performance.

Design and deliver training programs and create technical/training materials.

Analyze industry trends to guide product roadmaps and oversee bespoke system adaptations.

Translate technical requirements into executive briefings and collaborate cross-functionally.

Qualifications

Proficiency in technical writing (product specs, test cases, system documentation).

Understanding of IoT architectures, network security, and physical security systems.

Experience with QA methodologies and UAT processes.

Professional Skills:

Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver technical training.

Strong presentation skills for executive-level stakeholders.

Analytical approach to market trends and technical challenges.

Advantageous:

Certifications in Agile/Scrum, cybersecurity, or project management.

Portfolio demonstrating technical documentation samples.

Fluency in English, Malay, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
