Regarding the role, it’s as the job title says really, embodies our bold, passionate, and innovative spirit, ensuring the front office team deliver exceptional, guest-centric service by supporting Recreation Supervisor This role ensures seamless daily operations, fosters a culture of warmth and inclusiveness, and upholds Kimpton’s commitment to creating unique, tailored experiences for every guest.

Part of the role is physical, and you will be on your feet some of the day, so fitness will be key for you, although reasonable adjustments will be made where we can. There’s a lot of people around in the hotel, so you will need to be able to communicate well with everyone. We would love it if you were multi-lingual, but it’s not essential.

You are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel’s recreation facilities, ensuring exceptional guest experiences through well-maintained amenities, engaging activities, and outstanding service. This role involves maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness in all recreational areas, including the pool, fitness center and outdoor activities.

Facility Operations & Safety

Oversee daily operations of the pool, gym, and yoga terrace facilities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and Kimpton standards. Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment (e.g., fitness machines, pool tools) and enforce rules to prevent accidents. Respond to emergencies with CPR/first aid (certifications required) and coordinate with medical services if needed.

Guest Experience & Engagement

Welcome guests with artisanal hospitality, providing information about facilities, activities (e.g., sunrise yoga sessions), and personalized wellness tips. Foster a vibrant yet relaxing atmosphere by engaging guests in poolside activities, fitness challenges, or curated events.

Promote hotel offerings (e.g., rooftop bar, Social Hour) to enhance guest stays.

Cleanliness & Maintenance

Maintain impeccable hygiene in all areas, including pool decks, gym equipment, locker rooms, and yoga spaces. Perform routine cleaning tasks (e.g., sanitizing equipment, replenishing towels) and report maintenance issues promptly.

Administrative & Support Duties

Manage inventory of supplies (towels, beverages, first-aid kits) and rental equipment. Assist in scheduling wellness activities and private events hosted at the rooftop facilities. Collaborate with the recreation team to innovate guest experiences aligned with Kimpton’s unscripted service ethos.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

A focused individual with passion, personality, individuality, integrity, creativity, drive for continuous improvement and delivering outstanding guest service. Someone who has Strong leadership and team management abilities and excellent communication and guest relations skills. Most importantly having the knowledge of fitness trends, wellness programs, and recreational activities.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Diploma /higher education qualification/equivalent in Sports Management, Hospitality, or related field.

Minimum 2 years in recreation operations, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort. Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends/holidays. Fresh graduate is encouraged.

Must speak local language. Other languages preferred. Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, Lifeguard, or fitness instructor certifications are a plus.
