Recruiter Consultant

Key responsibilities

Source, identify and attract qualified candidates through various channels including job boards, social media, networking, and direct outreach

Screen candidate applications and conduct initial interviews to assess suitability for client requirements

Manage the full recruitment cycle from job specification development through to candidate placement and onboarding support

Build and maintain strong relationships with both clients and candidates to understand their needs and expectations

Prepare detailed candidate profiles and job descriptions that accurately reflect role requirements and candidate strengths

Coordinate interview schedules, conduct background checks, and facilitate communication between clients and candidates

Provide timely updates to clients on recruitment progress and candidate pipeline status

Meet recruitment targets and KPIs whilst maintaining high standards of service quality

Gather feedback from placements to continuously improve the recruitment process and candidate experience

Stay current with industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities within the recruitment sector



What we're looking for

Proven experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, with at least 1-2 years in an agency recruitment environment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders

Excellent organisational and time management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent placements

Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software, with demonstrated ability to quickly learn new platforms

Knowledge of recruitment best practices, employment law, and data protection regulations relevant to Malaysia

Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment

Target-driven mentality with demonstrated commitment to achieving and exceeding recruitment goals

Strong problem-solving abilities and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Malay (or other local languages)

Preferred experience in specific sectors such as technology, finance, manufacturing, or professional services
