Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and leadership-driven Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our growing Taiwanese breakfast and brunch team in Bandar Menjalara, Kepong. In this role, you will work closely with the Store Manager to oversee daily operations, lead the front-of-house and back-of-house teams, and ensure that every customer enjoys an authentic and high-quality dining experience. If you have a strong background in F&B operations, a passion for Taiwanese cuisine, and the ability to inspire a team in a fast-paced environment, we would love to have you on board!

Key Responsibilities:
1. Daily Operations & Leadership:
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth coordination between the kitchen and the front counter during peak breakfast and lunch hours.
- Assist in managing staff rosters, scheduling shifts, and ensuring adequate coverage for both early morning and closing shifts.
- Train, motivate, and guide new Service Crew and Kitchen Assistants on standard operating procedures (SOPs), food preparation standards, and customer service.

2. Customer Experience:
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer escalations, handling feedback and resolving complaints professionally and promptly.
- Maintain a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere that reflects our Taiwanese hospitality concept.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and serving times to ensure consistency with brand standards.

3. Administrative & Inventory Management:
- Oversee the POS system, cash handling, and daily sales reporting.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock takes for essential ingredients (e.g., Taiwanese teas, egg crepes, packaging), and liaise with suppliers to minimize wastage and stock-outs.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and local health regulations.

Job Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience in the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to communicate effectively with our core customer base, understand specific Taiwanese menu terminologies, and coordinate with certain suppliers. Fluency in Malay and English is required to lead a diverse team.

- Working Hours (Shift-Based): Must be able to work rotational shifts covering our operating hours (e.g., Early Morning shift starting at 6:30 AM or Closing shift ending at 9:30 PM).

Skills: Strong leadership, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with POS systems and basic inventory management.

Attitude: Proactive, highly responsible, and capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Commitment: Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays.
