Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Safety and Health Section:
1. To implement the measures to be taken in the interests of the Safety and Health of the person employed in the place of work according to the advice from Manager, SHE to the employer.
2. To lead the inspection of the place of work to determine whether any machinery, plant, equipment, substance, appliance or process or any description of manual labor used in the place of work, is of such nature liable to cause bodily injury to any person working in the place of work.
3. To assist Manager, SHE in the investigation and implement the corrective actions and preventive actions of any accident, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease which has happened in the place of work.
4. To assist Manager, SHE, in organizing and implementing Occupational Safety Health and environment program at the place of work.
5. To assist Manager, SHE to perform all functions of a secretary as specified in that Regulations.
6. To guide the Safety and Health Committee in any inspection of the place of work for the purpose of checking the effectiveness and efficacy of any measures taken in compliance with the Act or any regulations made under the Act.
7. To conduct the collection, analyze and maintain statistics on any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning and occupational disease which have occurred at the place of work.
8. To implement the practice of OSH Policy in the company are adhere to suggest for continuous improvement.
9. To assist Manager in helping related local authorities in carrying out his duty under the Act or any regulations made under the Act.
10. Responsible for Company’s Policies and Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 13485 & ISO 9001.
11. Responsible for Safety’s Policies and Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OH&SMS), ISO 45001.
12. Prepare Minutes of Meeting (MoM) of all safety and health matters.
13. To follow-up and close all raising issue from the meeting within stipulated time.
14. To assist and closely follow up all safety and health related project that initiated by management to superior.
15. To assist Manager, SHE on any Safety and Health section document preparation.
16. To monitor all safety and health competent or certified person’s certificate validity and training arrangement.
17. To organize all safety and health related meeting periodically as per specified.
18. To assist Manager, SHE in Safety, Health & Environmental records maintenance (filing system).
19. To conduct Internal Audit based on ISO 45001.
20. To carry out any other instruction made by Manager, SHE or any other person in charge of place of work on any matters pertaining to safety & health of place the place of work.
21. To initiate, closely monitor all safety and health related projects.
B. Environmental Section:
22. To maintain master list, SHE-procedure, HWI-procedure and FH-forms that related to safety, health and environment.
23. To attend any visit from regulatory despite the visited time.
24. To perform Internal Audit based on ISO 14001 and EMS as per planned.
25. To carry out any other instruction made by the superior, SHE on any matters pertaining to environmental matters of the place of work.
26. Responsible for Environmental Policy and Environmental Management System (EMS), ISO 14001
27. Refer to Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulation 2005, to monitor scheduled waste activity and engage with contractor registered with DOE to collect scheduled waste at the Factory within stipulated time.
28. Responsible for Environmental Management System (EMS) ISO 14001 policy and implementation is in place.
29. To assist Manager, SHE on all Environmental section document preparation.
30. To assist Environmental in records maintenance (filing system).
31. To monitor all environment competent person’s certificate validity and training arrangement.
32. To organize all Environmental-related Meeting periodically as per specified.
33. Prepare Minutes of Meeting (MoM) of all environmental matters.

36. To carry out any other instruction made by Manager, SHE or any other person in charge of place of work on any matters pertaining to environmental of place the place of work.
Job Requirements
-Minimum Diploma in Safety or Environment or Engineering equivalent.
-At least 3 years working experience in Safety & Health Department or equivalent.
-Have OSH certificate would be an added advantage.
-Have experience in handling scheduled waste and attended CEPSWAM training would be an added advantage.
-Knowledgeable in Safety & Health and Environment administration, processes and procedures
-Experienced in manufacturing field would be added advantage.
