Sales Designer

Job Description:
We are looking for a driven and customer-oriented Sales Designer to join our growing custom-made cabinet and woodcraft team. This role offers an attractive Basic Salary + Unlimited Commission (No Cap), providing strong earning potential for high performers. You will be responsible for engaging with customers, understanding their requirements, proposing design solutions, and converting leads into sales. From initial inquiry to project confirmation, you will play a key role in driving revenue while delivering practical and creative design ideas. Candidates with basic design knowledge (SketchUp/AutoCAD) and strong sales interest are encouraged to apply, as training and leads will be provided.
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Furniture Design, Sales, or related field.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience as a Sales Designer or similar role in the custom furniture, woodcraft, or interior fit-out industry.
• Strong understanding of wood materials, cabinetry systems, joinery details, and finishing options.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating technical drawings and 3D models is mandatory.
• Familiarity with 3D Max, Vray and Adobe Photoshop for creating high-quality renderings and presentations is highly desirable.
• Good sense of design and space planning to fulfill customer needs.
• Proven ability to handle clients, present proposals, and close sales.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin (both written and spoken) to effectively communicate with clients and team members is necessary.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Customer-focused mindset with a proactive and positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
• Meet clients to understand their needs, preferences, budget, and space requirements.
• Prepare design concepts, layout proposals, and basic drawings for custom-made wood furniture and cabinetry.
• Provide professional advice on materials, finishes, hardware, and joinery options.
• Prepare quotations, cost breakdowns, and proposals based on approved designs.
• Present design concepts and proposals to clients and follow up to secure sales.
• Coordinate with internal teams (designers, production, and project teams) to ensure design feasibility and accurate costing.
• Revise designs and quotations based on client feedback or site conditions.
• Support project handover by ensuring approved designs, specifications, and client requirements are clearly communicated.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, designers, contractors, and project partners.
• Assist in sales reporting, client updates, and documentation as required.
• Participate in exhibitions, site visits, and client meetings when necessary.
