Sales Representative (Agriculture)

Key Responsibilities

Proactively identify, approach, and secure orders from farmers, garden centres, nurseries, agro-retailers, and distributors across the northern region.

Promote and sell a range of agricultural products including organic fertilizers, Trichoderma-based supplements, bio-insecticides, and potting soils.

Manage a local storage facility and monitor inventory levels to ensure timely fulfilment of customer orders.

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while continuously identifying new business opportunities within the territory.

Prepare and submit weekly activity reports to the Head of Department in Johor Bahru covering sales progress, market trends, new leads, and payment collections.

Attend mandatory monthly meetings at the regional headquarters in Singapore to review performance targets and align on marketing strategies.

Requirements

Proven experience in sales, preferably within the agriculture or agri-related industries.

Knowledge of organic farming practices, bio-pesticides, or agricultural inputs will be a strong advantage.

Infrastructure Requirements:

Vehicle: Must own a reliable pick-up truck for product deliveries and site visits.

Storage Setup: Ability to identify and arrange a secure storage facility capable of holding approximately 20 tons of products (lease/rental provided by the company; candidate oversees setup and operations).

Highly self-disciplined, able to work independently without daily supervision, and possess a strong sales-driven (“hunter”) mindset to achieve monthly KPIs.

Willing to travel extensively across the Northern region of Malaysia and attend monthly meetings in Singapore.

Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in English, Chinese, or local dialects is an added advantage for client engagement.
