A Seamstress & Linen Attendant is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and managing all hotel linen, uniforms, and soft furnishings to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and presentation expected in a luxury hotel environment.

WHAT WILL I ACTUALLY BE DOING?

Seamstress Duties
1. Perform alterations and repairs on staff uniforms, guest garments (if applicable), curtains, upholstery, and other fabric items
2. Mend torn linen, replace buttons, zippers, and seams
3. Ensure all uniforms are well-fitted, neat, and presentable
4. Handle sewing machines and tools safely and efficiently
5. Assist with custom tailoring requests when required

Linen Attendant Duties
1. Issue, receive, and organize hotel linen and uniforms
2. Maintain accurate records of linen inventory and uniform distribution
3. Inspect linen for damage, stains, or wear and arrange repair or replacement
4. Ensure proper storage and cleanliness of linen rooms
5. Coordinate with housekeeping and laundry departments
6. Monitor stock levels and report shortages

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
1. High school certificate or equivalent
2. Proven experience as a seamstress or tailor (hotel experience preferred)
3. Experience in housekeeping, laundry, or linen room operations is an advantage
4. Strong sewing and alteration skills
5. Knowledge of fabrics, garment care, and linen handling
6. Attention to detail and quality control
7. Good organizational and record-keeping skills
8. Basic computer skills (for inventory systems, if applicable)
9. Reliable, honest, and responsible
10. Ability to work independently and efficiently
11. Good communication and teamwork skills
12. Physically fit for handling linen loads and standing for long periods
