Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Accounting

Handle full set of accounts for the Group of Companies, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and General Ledger.

Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and analysis for management review.

Prepare cash flow forecast, debtor and creditor aging reports to monitor financial performance.

Ensure all accounting records are accurate, complete and in compliance with accounting standards.

Month-End & Reconciliation

Manage month-end closing activities and ensure timely reporting.

Perform and review reconciliation including:

Bank reconciliation

Cash reconciliation

Intercompany reconciliation

Sales and purchase reconciliation

Audit & Compliance

Liaise with external auditors and tax agents for the Group’s annual audit.

Ensure timely preparation and submission of year-end financial statements (financial year ending June).

Maintain proper accounting documentation in accordance with audit and compliance requirements.

Team Leadership & Process Improvement

Supervise and guide the Accounts team, including task delegation and performance monitoring.

Support management in reviewing staff KPIs and improving department productivity.

Evaluate and improve accounting processes, internal controls and financial reporting systems.

Retail Operations Support

Monitor rental billing and collection.

Review debtor aging and collection status.

Oversee cashiering and daily sales reconciliation from retail operations.

Others

Maintain proper filing and documentation system for accounting records.

Support management in financial analysis, operational reporting and ad-hoc assignments when required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or equivalent professional qualification.

Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in retail, trading, supermarket or FMCG industry.

Experience in handling full set of accounts and financial reporting.

Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting and internal control practices.

Proficient in Auto count Accounting System and Microsoft Excel.

Experience with Panda Retail System or retail POS systems will be an added advantage.

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
